Welcome to the Warsash Local History Society’s website. We are a thriving society with over ninety members. Details of our activities, publications and Heritage Centre can be found here.
We hold five meetings a year and at those meetings we have a visiting speaker giving a presentation on aspects of history, relevant to Warsash. These talks are held at St. Mary’s Church in Church Road, Warsash (unless stated otherwise).
I became Chair of the society in 2025 taking over from Peter Corney who had been chair since 2016. Predecessors (and founder members) were Glenda Edmondson as acting Chair from 2013 and Leila Kroon from the society’s foundation in the summer of 1998.
It is my hope, our website will give you an insight into the rich history of Warsash and the surrounding area. Any contributions to this rich history are welcome and contact details are on this website.
